ATTRIBUTES OF A SUCCESSFUL SALESMAN.

1) Iron Steel Determination:

A successful Salesman is a man that has made up his mind that come what May, He is never giving up! Like Never!

Now, ask Yourself, Are you that man?

Does this define You?

If you call 100 people and they all say No, will You continue?

If you run multiple ads and nothing comes out of it, will You continue?

There’s one top Realtor I met of recent who just got a car from a company…and he shared with me that He has been in the business for the Past 4years as a Realtor, no sales…Just late last Year, He got sales that made him win the Car 🚘

And I was like Oh Boy! What determination!

Pushing, posting, inspecting for 4years, nothing? And didn’t give up??

Like how many of us can do that?

Am sure not many!

A lot will join the business and if in 6months no sales, they give up and say it’s not working for them but not true…

The work will test You to see if you’re ready to eat of the good in the business…

2) Product Knowledge:

How well do you know what You’re selling?

Some Realtors don’t even go for inspections but expect to make sales…it doesn’t work that way!

On becoming a successful Realtor…Inspection is key!

Whether Personal or with Client.

If you don’t have client to take, go on Your own and don’t always wait for the general inspection…Go on Your own!

Nature rewards Hardwork so Sooner or later, You will reap the benefits!

It also gives you an edge when discussing with clients…

You can say more things to convince the client because you have been there!

So working on that area is very key!

3) You should be Tech Savvy:

The world has gone digital now! Your customers are more online than accessible offline.

How are you reaching them?

You should know the various Social media platforms and know which works best for Real Estate biz and leverage on it wholly!

Traditional marketing still works but digital marketing is faster and easier…you can reach a lot more people in a short time..

So Be Tech Savvy and incorporate Digital Marketing to Your Strategies.

4) An Achiever’s Personality:

Real Estate is a People Oriented Field…You meet people who buy and the thing is People that buy from You must Like You, Know You..Trust You First before buying…

So Are you Likable?

Are You friendly?

Do You smile?

Or do you carry the problems of this world on your head? 😁…pls don’t o…cos problem no Dey finish 😁


So always carry a positive vibe also…Your vibe attracts things to You! Be conscious of that!

And go around especially with clients.. Being Friendly and Positive at all times.

5) Have Integrity:

You must be a Realtor with high Integrity! To win clients, keep them and get referrals!

Especially in this part of the work where Integrity is becoming Extinct, If you can be one with it, You will be sought after.

6) Network Ability : Be able to network with people…Real estate is about Who You know and Who knows You! Connections is very important here!

So networking is a required skill to becoming a successful Realtor.

You don’t have to be an extrovert to be a successful networker…Just be a good listener and focus more on quality Conversations…

Then, be pleasant and friendly to people around…

Let your passion for real estate show through your conversations and when you get a green light from anyone, follow up on that person.
